A Brainchild of former Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech, the Veyron is currently the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive production car in history. Powered by a W16 layout coupled with 4 Turbochargers (hence 16.4), producing 1001 horsepower, the top speed was promised at 253 mph (407 km/h). Power generated is transferred to the seven-speed flange-mounted direct manual gearbox (DSG).
Built in Molsheim, France, the Veyron is named after the famous French racing driver Pierre Veyron.
