Radio Controlled Jets

These RC jets are certainly not anyone’s hobby, definitely not mine since I can’t even land anything in Flight Simulator. The cost of wrecking one (which should be pretty easy for me at least) can be in thousands easy. The most expensive jet on display cost a whopping $30,000, that is jet only without all the required accessories.

They are a blast to watch and maneuver better than the real thing, not to mention the authentic sound of the jet engines. Flying one requires liability insurance (provided by the RC club by being a member), some sort of airspace clearance and license I believe. This RC club has its own landing strip and is located around Sacramento, CA, in the middle of agricultural lands.

Jaguar XKR - Bond Version

This is the replica of a heavily modified XKR as featured in the 2002 James Bond Film – Die Another Day. Driven by Zao, Colonel Moon's right-hand man, this car gave the Vanquish a good run for the money in a series of cat-and-mouse chases, resulting in the expected death of Zao of course! Never a big fan of Jags but this XKR actually looks way cooler than the factory version, not that you will ever see a Bond version in Jaguar dealership. Bond XKR came with the following options, and plus Cold Weather package obviously:

· Door panel rockets
· Front grill machine guns
· Rear mounted gattling gun
· Trunk mounted mortars

Though supercharged, this car is not as fast considering that a bone stock; naturally aspirated E39 M5 will totally gun this thing.

Specs:
- 32-valve, 4.0-liter V-8 Supercharged
- 370 horsepower, 387 lb-ft torque
- 0-60 mph in ~ 5.2 secs

Aston Martin DBS - Bond Version

Personally, I think this is one of the best looking, muscular Bond car to date (other than BMW of course, with the E38 750IL being the best). Not long after the concept was revealed, the DBS made its first debut in the James Bond film - Casino Royale….wonder if Daniel Craig gets a freebie this time around. While performance figures are presentable but not jaw dropping, this is still one heck of a car and this is definitely my best pick of all AMs.

Specs:
- 48-valve, 6.0-liter V-12
- 510 horsepower, 420 lb-ft torque
- 0-60 mph in ~ 4.3 secs

Aston Martin Vanquish - Bond Version

Finished in Tungsten Silver, this is a replica of the V12 Vanquish that battles the ferocious Jaguar XKR convertible during the Gustav Graves' Ice Palace chase in the 2002 James Bond series - Die Another Day.

With actor Pierce Brosnan at the helm as James Bond, this car was made famous almost instantly. With that and some other PR for Aston Martin, this netted him a real Vanquish, courtesy of AM. Brosnan and his V12 Vanquish now live happily after in his Malibu beachfront home.

Specs:
- All-alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve, 5935 cc V12
- 460 horsepower, 400 lb-ft torque
- 0-60 mph in ~ 4.5 secs
- 6 Speed Semi-Automatic

Aston Martin DB9 Coupe

Powerplant for the DB9 was derived from the 6.0-liter V12 engine found in theV12 Vanquish S, which is no longer offered in the U.S. Mated to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission with electronic gear-changing, paddle shift is also available if desired. Top speed is estimated to be north of 186 mph.

Specs:
- All-alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve, 5935 cc V12
- 470 horsepower, 443 lb-ft torque
- 0-60 mph in ~ 4.3 secs

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage

As the first V12 powered Aston Martin, the DB7 Vantage was available in both Coupe and Volante body styles. This 6.0 Liter V12 has definitely set a standard for later flagship models and the Volante is the most successful Aston Martin sold to date.

Specs:
- 6.0-liter all alloy 48v V12
- 420 horsepower, 400 lb-ft torque
- 0-60 mph in ~5 secs
- Six speed close ratio manual or Five speed ZF automatic
